Six of the Nation's outstanding 4-H'ers visited with President John F. Kennedy, March 5, 1963, during National 4-H Week. They presented him with a copy of the Report-to-the-Nation Book and the World Atlas of 4-H. The six reporters included Alice Todd, AL; Tony Mellor, AZ; Veronica Vamosy, NY; Faye Craig, MS; Larry Pressler, SD (later became Senator Pressler); and Don Weeks, IN. In the back are Kenneth Anderson, National 4-H Service Committee (now known as National 4-H Council); Secretary of Agriculture Orville L. Freeman; and Dr. E.T. York, Administrator, Federal Extension Service.
